Holiday Cheer Delivered

During this season of giving, several local community groups stepped up to donate a diverse array of gifts to Asante’s Pediatrics Unit.

The Meadows Mobile Home Park for Senior Living brought in more than 100 stuffed animals from their annual Teddy Bear Dinner, and organizer Dale Bryan and her sister Shirl say this year’s “stuffie count” far surpasses last year.

The Purple Hearts Club, a local non-profit dedicated to providing comfort in the form of quilted goods, brought in dozens of their most recent creations to be enjoyed by children and families who will need to spend this holiday season in the hospital.

If you ever get cold and reach for a hug, you will find a warm blanket made with our love.  Stitch by stitch and time after time, our labors of love you will find. We gather for you, though we may be few, the power of love rises high up above. We gather to warm you and send our love – remember us we’re The Purple Hearts Club. If you ever get cold and need a blanket to hug, look for our label, we’re The Purple Hearts Club

And, finally, Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy organized a holiday toy drive and collected tons of toys from their patients and employees to gift to children who rely on Asante for care.

For all these wonderful community partners and all who give to support children’s healthcare programs at Asante, we are deeply grateful!
